+How does automatic OMR sheet checking work?
Each OMR sheet PrepVidya generates carries a QR code and printed corner markers. When you scan or photograph a sheet, the software finds those markers, straightens the page, and reads which bubbles are filled. Detected answers are then graded automatically with your test's marking scheme — negative marking, multiple-correct questions and all.
+Can I check OMR sheets with just a mobile phone?
Yes. The reading pipeline runs entirely in your phone or laptop's browser — no scanner hardware, no Windows licence, no app install. Take a photo of each filled sheet and the score appears on your dashboard. A printer's scan-to-PDF works too for batch scanning.
+How accurate is OMR checking compared to manual correction?
Machine reading removes the two big failure modes of manual checking: wrong key application and tally mistakes. Uncertain reads — faint fills, double marks, smudges — are flagged for your review instead of being guessed, so anything ambiguous still gets a human decision before results are published.
+What happens with multiple-marked or blank questions?
Blank questions are scored as unattempted. Double or multiple fills are flagged for review, and you choose the policy for multi-marked answers up front (treat as incorrect, as is standard, or as invalid). BPSC-style five-option sheets where the last bubble means “Not Attempted” are also supported.
+Do offline students get the same analytics as online students?
Yes. When you finalize a checked sheet, it becomes a normal test attempt in your academy — so offline students show up in the same rank list, percentile bands and per-question analysis as students who attempted the test online. One unified result for the whole batch.
